Richard Hull received his MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 1979 and soon thereafter joined the Phyllis Kind Gallery, the primary dealer of many of Chicago’s legendary Imagist artists. At the time he was known for painting abstracted architectural interiors. His paintings can now be found in many private and public collections including, the Art Institute of Chicago, the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago, the Museum of Fine Arts Houston, the Milwaukee Art Museum; the Nelson-Atkins Museum, Kansas City; the Neuberger Museum of Art, Westchester NY and the Smithsonian, Washington DC.
