Jules-René Hervé was a French painter born in 1887. He was a student at Diderot College in Langres but later moved to Paris in 1908. At the School of Decorative Arts, he continued his studies. Jules-René was most known for his depictions of Paris and the French countryside. He devoted himself to mastering the techniques of Claude Monet.
