This landscape oil painting on canvas was created by the renowned Soviet and Russian artist Ilya Sergeyevich Glazunov. Signed in Cyrillic in the upper right corner, it also bears a signature, title, and date (1982) on the back, written in both English and Cyrillic. The painting is in excellent condition, with no signs of damage on either side. It is elegantly surrounded by a slim brass frame that complements the piece beautifully.
Ilya Sergeyevich Glazunov (1930–2017) was a highly celebrated artist from Saint Petersburg, known for his exceptional portraits, landscapes, monumental historical paintings, and book illustrations. He was also a social activist, educator, teacher, and Master of Theatre and Decorative Arts. As the founder of the Russian Academy of Painting, Sculpture, and Architecture, Glazunov served as its rector until his passing. Throughout his career, he was honored with numerous prestigious titles, including People's Artist of the RSFSR. Glazunov's legacy includes over three thousand works, spanning a wide range of achievements.
