French Comtoise Grandfather Clock
Antique, 18th-century French Comtoise Grandfather Clock. Features an embossed brass pendulum. Pendulum and clock surround have matching embossed, hand painted decoration in a harvest theme with a sheaf of wheat, grape clusters and sunflowers. The word "Ja Culture" is also written on the front of the pendulum. Embossed brass is painted with pink, green, white, and red/orange accents. Painted floral details adorn the entire front of the clock in warm gold, orange, and green tones. The name "Duchemina Laval" is painted along the base of the clock, a maker's mark of the Duchemin Clockmaker's workshop in France. Bottom glass pane has been replaced.
