Art Nouveau Newel Post Lamp (J1YZLC)

Antique early 20th century Art Nouveau style newel post lamp. Features bronze spelter metal construction. The lamp depicts a beautiful woman gazing upwards in a flowing dress, clutching a scarf which blows in the wind. The flowers, branches, and leaves of an olive tree arch to frame her figure (not secured), creating a lit surround with 6 ceramic bulb enclosures inside each flower bud. The lamp has been rewired (pictured) likely in the mid 20th century, and has a dated plug system compared to modern electrical standards. A metal placard near the base of the lamp reads "Brise Legere Par Barrian". A French assay mark is present on the back of the lamp. Signed "J Barian" on the back of the fixture close to the base.
